About Prague sights …


      It is just 99 steps to the poetic Vysehrad fortress from the apartment. There You can find The Capitular Church of SS Peter & Paul, St. Martin´s Rotunda and also Slavín (Pantheon) at the Vysehrad Cemetery which forms a dominant part of the Vysehrad National Cultural Monument. The graves of meritorious personages are concentrated here, many of those who contributed to Czech culture, education, national self-determination and the independence of the country. Even if we have 21st century, You wil feel the magic atmosphere there. You will admire one of the most amazing panorama of the old Europe, You will find a countenance and weelbeing there, that all makes You feel cultural and mentally.
      Historical city centre (Hradcany with Prague Castle and romantic Mala Strana is placed on the left bank, Old Town and Wenceslas Square on the right bank of the Vltava river and the Charles Bridge in between) covers about 3 sq km, so You can discover all the historical sights by foot.
      Really beautiful part of the Old Town is the Jewish Town, Prague´s Ghetto. It appeared in the 9th century, when it was established as a colony of judish merchants living in Prague. It became Central Europe's Hebrew metropolis in the 17th century. Many interesting buildings and historical landmarks of Ghetto still remain to this days so You can see them like they were made. You can find there one of the oldest synagogue in Europe, the Jewish Town Hall and Jewish museum, library and the Old Jewish Cemetery too.
      The Charles Bridge is the oldest Prague stone bridge, made by Peter Parler of Gmünd over six hundred years ago. Mala Strana with its beautiful architecture and gardens is one of the most romantic places in Prague.
      The Malostranske square is just a few steps from the Charles Bridge, You can go on up Nerudova street and Castle Stairs to the gates of Prague Castle.
      Here you can visit St. Vitus' Cathedral where the tomb of King Wenceslas lies. From this place You can admire all the beauty of Prague and its countless beautiful spires.
      The middlepoint of the Old Town is the Old Town Square with the original Old Town Hall, which boasts the famous Prague astronomical clock. On the other side of the square the monumental Church of Our Lady of Tyn is situated. From the Old Town Square You can reach numerous narrow streets and alleys full of remarkable sights, including churches, cathedrals, galleries and museums, antique shops, and centuries-old wine cellars and beerhouses.
      You have to see The Nove Mesto (New Town), with its shops, caf ´s, museums and theatres or jazz and rock clubs.
      Parts of the historical centre – Hradcany with Prague castle, Mala Strana, Stare Mesto (Old Town) including Josefov, Nove Mesto (New Town) and Vysehrad - are on the list of UNESCO from 1992.
      Wenceslas Square is 25 minutes far or 10 minutes by tram No. 24 (from Albertov station), tram No. 18 bets You (from Albertov station) right to the National Theatre.




Where to go to bath …


      You can visit swimming pool Podoli or Yellow bath on the right bank of the Vltava river. It is just a 5 minutes by Tram No. 3,16,17,21 (from Vyton station).




Where to go shopping and for entertainment …


      It is just 3 tram stops by tram No. 7 (from Albertov station) and You will be on Shopping centre Nový Smíchov with cinemas, boutiques, markets.
